IN MEMORIAM OF A GREAT SEASON AND LOOKING FORWARD TO
GREAT 2005 SEASON
| The
season of 2004 has been one of the best seasons ever, comparible
in numbers to the seasons of 1988 and 1986 which yielded 45thousand
salmon, the main comparison in favor of 2004 being that during
the named seasons.......

A RECORD BREAKING SEASON?
|
It looks
like the summer of 2004 will be a record breaking one in our east
coast river Breiðdalsá. The Breiðdalsá is
a river system with a rather smallish wild stock which we have enhanched
with the sort of smolt releasing project we used to put the Ytri
Rangá on the map some years ago.

RIVERS DOING WELL
|
Our salmon
rivers are in excellent shape and in hand with an overall improvement
in runs in Iceland this year, compared with last season. Hrútafjarðará
has produced some 300 salmon with quite a few weeks to go and it
is worth noting, that all of last season produced a mere 160 salmon....

RIVERS DOING WELL
|
The salmon
fishing in Iceland so far this summer has been great despite long
periods of droughts that have brought down water levels and made
fishing more difficult. Our rivers are in good shape, the Hrútafjarðará
for instance is close to last season total with all of August and
September remaining.

OUR SALMON RIVERS
START WELL
|
Two of our
main salmon rivers, the Hrútafjarðará and the
Breiðdalsá have had impressive starts to the season.
On the Hrúta, two salmon were already on the bank inside
the first hour and anglers were spotting fresh fish in several pools

SALMON SEASON STARTS WITH A BANG!
|
Hello to our foreign
clients and other curious individuals.....perhaps contemplating
a visit to Iceland for the superb fishing! The salmon season has
started at a finer pace than last year and a few rivers are reporting
the best start for at least a decade, rivers like the Haffjarðará
and the Langá, both situated in the west.

GREAT START AT BREIÐDALSÁ!
|
We started our sea char
season last weekend, and what a start we had! Fishing with 4-6 rods
we had over two hundred fish landed in the first two days. At this
point of the season, most of the sea char are at the rivers mouth,
feeding heavily after a winter in the river.
